Object permission
The author can define object permission for a user (author, user or team leader) or a permission group on the tab Security in the context menu Information. The author can grant the following object permissions to single learning objects, SSO and import configuration and remote content activations:
- Grant permissions (object permission) under General,
- Edit content pages (object permission) in courses,
- Read, select,
- Change, create,
- Delete (object permission) and/or
- Change external content.
The author can grant the following object permissions for users in course activations:
- Create course activation (object permission),
- Read course activation (object permission),
- Edit course activation (object permission),
- Manage participants (object permission),
- Delete course activation (object permission),
- Add users to a course activation (Team leader) and/or
- Change edit mode.
The author can grant the following object permissions overall for the learning object on category level (context menu Information → Security):
- Create learning object,
- Read learning object or/and
- Edit learning object.
By now the permissions have only influence on users regarding the User Generated Content (UGC) or user content. An user gets automatically all object permissions for user content on his/her category for example.
Note that object permissions on one category are inherited to the sub categories and to the objects of the category and their sub categories.
