Is the abbreviation of Learning Tools Interoperability.

The interoperability represents the connection and coordinated communication of different systems, devices, applications or products, without any action of the user. In this case we speak of learning tools which connect and communicate.

LTI is a technical standarad which was defined by the 1EdTech consortium. It’s regularly updated. This standard defines an interface between a learning management system (LMS) and an external system which provides the learning content.

If we look at Avendoo® LMS is that system which receives the content and distributes this content to the users. This system is also called consumer system.

The system which provides the content via LTI 1.3 is also called Provider system.
