Management of User Generated Content (UGC)

Use

There are two variants in the management of User Generated Content (UGC).
The variant UGC event dates is for users or user-team leaders who will have fair visits or single coachings to enable them to create event dates based on a template only for themselves. The user or user-teamleader is the only participant.
The variant UGC learning units is for users or user-team leaders who create courses individually based on a template and who combine these courses. This variant generates a new course and  a new course activation by combining the learning path individually by the user or user-team leader.

Create and adjust UGC event dates

The users and the user-team leaders who are permitted to create UGC see on their learning place on the tab My content the +tile (see first screenshot).

To create an own event date the user or user-team leader clicks on the +tile and follows the steps of the instruction for UGC event dates.

After the UGC event date has been created the user or user-team leader sees the course activation tile on the tab My content on the learning place. Furthermore the UGC event date is listed as calendar entry under My event dates on the learning place because the user or user-team leader is registered automatically (see second screenshot).

Record attendance

The user or user-team leader can adjust and do corrections on the UGC event date which is saved under My content on the learning place as longs as the UGC event has not already taken place.

Therefore the user or user-team leader goes to the learning place and chooses on the tab My content the 3 point menu on the corresponding course tile (see first screenshot).

Via this menu the user or user-team leader records normally the attendance by setting the check mark I was present and clicking the button Apply (see second screenshot).

Alternatively, the user or user-team leader can enter a reason why he was absent. Finally, he clicks on the button Apply (see third screenshot).

As the user or user-team leader has recorded the attendance, a training inventory entry is automatically generated in Avendoo®. The training inventory entries are shown in the User wizard on the tab Accomplishments.

Quick instruction for UGC learning units

Create and adjust UGC learning units

Users and user-team leader who are permitted to create UGC can combine from existing learning units new UGC learning units on the learning place on the tab My content via the +tile.

That user and user-team leader are creating an own UGC learning unit they click on the +tile and do the steps of the instruction for UGC learning units. The UGC wizard opens with the tile Learning unit (see first screenshot).

Users and user-team leaders adjust by clicking on the Pencil on the corresponding tile (see second screenshot). The wizard Learning unit opens with the tab Master data (see third screenshot).

Participant management

If user or user-team leader open the Participant management via the context menu
(see first screenshot), the other users are visible for them and they can add them (see second screenshot).

They can register directly users or they can assign a catalog entry. Also they can create rules on participants on OUs (organizational units) on which they are permitted.
