Course activations: context menu

Preview

If you choose Preview in the context menu of the appropriate course activation, the Preview window from user view opens.

New course activation

If you choose New course activation in the context menu of the appropriate course activation, the Course activation wizard for creating a new course activation opens.

Approval of needs

If you choose Approval of needs in the context menu of the appropriate course activation, the dialog window Approval of needs for editing the needs reports opens.

Change status

If you select one or more course activations and choose Change status and click on the button Execute, the dialog window Change status opens. You choose a new status for the selected objects and click on the button Change activation status.

Edit

If you choose Edit in the context menu of the appropriate course activation, the Course activation wizard for editing the course activation opens.

Delete

If you choose Delete in the context menu of the appropriate course activation, the dialog window Delete for deleting the course activation opens. Then you click on the button Delete.

Show report

If you choose Show report in the context menu of the appropriate course activation, the dialog window Reports opens. By marking the appropriate report and clicking the button View, you can view this report.

Information

If you choose Information in the context menu of the corresponding course activation, the dialog window Information with the tabs GeneralUse, IDs,  History, Remarks, Ratings and Security opens.

General

On the tab General you find the following information regarding:

Use

On the tab Use you find information regarding:

  • Type,
  • Path,
  • Title and
  • External reference.

IDs

On the tab IDs you find information regarding:

  • Course activation title,
  • ID,
  • SCORM package (Download is possible),
    Notes

    – Note that the exported package is ONLY a SCORM Wrapper, which still connects to Avendoo® and thus uses up a license.
    – SCORM content exported from Avendoo® check, if 3rd party cookies are allowed. If they are not allowe, the content is opened in a pop-up. To use this new function, you have to increase the version t0 2 in the configuration of the SCORM wrapper (system setting „scorm.wrapper.config”). Content, which you’ve exported via the old version, you have to re-export.

  • cmi5 package
    – cmi5 package
    You can download a cmi5 package as the link to the course activation is available in the cmi5 file.
    – cmi5 package with HTML start file
    You can download a cmi5 package with HTML start file as additionally a HTML page is available, which opens the link, and the cmi5 file refers to the HTML page.
Note

This tab is shown since version 17.10, independent by activating in the administration area.

History

On the tab History you find the history of the change data with information about date and time and the appropriate editor.

Remarks

On the tab Remarks you find information about remarks of the course activation.

Ratings

On the tab Ratings you find information about the ratings of the course activation.

Security

On the tab Security you can define object permission for a user (author, user or team leader) or a permission group. Therefore click on the button User management to select single users and assign them object permissions, or you click on the button Permission group to select a permission group and assign object permissions to it. You can grant the following object permissions:

Finally you click always on the button Save.

After that you can edit object permissions by clicking on the Pencil, set or deactivate the appropriate check marks and click on the button Save. If you click on the Pencil, you also see the inherited object permissions.

Notes

Note that

– a user for user content (My content on the Learning place) gets on his/her category automatically all object permissions and

– object permissions on one category are inherited to the sub categories and to the objects of the category and their sub categories.
